Don’t Get Caught Using the F Word

Don’t get caught using the F word. You know, that four-letter word that always creeps its way into your brain and occasionally makes its way out of your mouth. That’s right. FEAR.

Don’t get caught letting FEAR debilitate your dreams.

First, figure out exactly what makes you afraid. Pinpoint it.

Is it lack of knowledge?

Ask someone for advice. The world is full of people who have been right where you are.

Is it lack of resources?

Use your imagination! If you’re hungry enough, you’ll figure out a way to eat. It’s called survival. Living your dream is no less important than being alive.

Are you afraid of the word, “No?”

Don’t be. For every “no” you get under your belt, you’re that much closer to a “YES.” Just be sure to get that “no” so you can move on. If you’ve ever found yourself wondering how many times can you possibly ask someone to do something, the answer is simple—until they say “yes” or “no.” It’s not difficult.

Don’t spend too much time on the “maybes” either. There are too many “yes’s” out there waiting for you. Just get through the “no’s” and get on with it. There are more than seven billion people in the world, and with social media tearing down geographical, linguistic and time zone barriers, the sky is the limit.

It’s not personal.

Don’t let a “no” shake your confidence in what you do. Once you stop viewing it as a personal rejection, it’s easy. Like stupid easy.

Think about it. This person doesn’t want to change their life? This person doesn’t want to get healthy? This person is afraid of being fully accountable for their future? Who’s really the one with issues?

They’re sleeping. Move on.

A true dream is selfless and comes from within. Once you open yourself up to receive it, the answers will come. As long as you continue to be truthful to yourself and mindful of doing the next right thing, the universe will take care of the rest. Anyone with the presence of mind and purity of intent to seek out their true purpose in this world has nothing to fear.

Above all, believe in yourself and what you can accomplish. No one will be angry with you for having faith in yourself, and if they are, consider the source. If you have faith, then you have hope, and hope trumps fear every time.
